R & D

R & D

During audits or penetration tests, there have been instances where tools were developed in-house which serve to greatly reduce the amount of repetitive or labour-intensive tasks that need to be performed. There is also a great deal of research that is performed into newer and more effective methods of conducting tests related to various technologies.

The amount of importance that was placed on research and development gave rise to a new division called Scanit R&D Labs. While the core business will remain unchanged, this new division serves to enhance the quality of work that is delivered.

This division has the full support of the management in order to come up with new and innovative ideas that can be applied to or can help foster the growth of the security community.

In keeping with the community spirit, several projects or tools will be launched as public domain which also brings in fresh ideas from developers and security professionals worldwide.
